The Koshidai Sakura is a single Yamazakura tree that is 20m tall, has a trunk circumference of 7.1m, and is about 400 years old. It is designated as one of the Forestry Agency’s “100 Forest Giants” and a prefectural natural monument. The best time to see it is usually from late April to early May. The “Koshidai Sakura Festival” is held during the flowering season.
