Mt. Tachu is a mountain located on Yakushima in Kagoshima Prefecture, with an altitude of 1,497 meters. It is located in the center of Yakushima, and is an area rich in nature with ancient forests such as Yakusugi trees. Near the summit, there is a huge granite rock called “Tenjuseki”, and its impressive appearance is a distinctive feature. Although the hiking trail has some steep parts, you can enjoy the beautiful forest and clear streams, making it popular with many climbers.
