This is a live camera installed on the bamboo forest path in Ukyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. You can see the Saga Arashiyama Bamboo Forest Path. It is distributed by the Kyoto City Tourism Association. You can also check the weather forecast, rain cloud radar and map.
Bamboos several meters tall grow on both sides of the 500-meter-long path of the Saga Arashiyama Bamboo Forest Path, and the sound of the bamboo leaves swaying in the wind is a pleasant sound as you walk. During the day, light shines through the bamboo, creating a beautiful green tunnel. At night, the path is lit up, creating a fantastic atmosphere. There are also famous places nearby, such as Tenryu-ji Temple and Togetsukyo Bridge.
There is no admission fee to the Saga Arashiyama Bamboo Forest Path, and you can freely stroll around it 24 hours a day, but it is dark at night, so it is recommended to visit during the day. It is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from JR Saga Arashiyama Station and about 5 minutes from Randen Arashiyama Station. The bamboo forest path continues for about 400 meters, and the walk takes about 10 to 20 minutes.
