The Live Camera installed at the Kiyo Residence in Nakacho, Izumo Kaido, Shinjo Village, Maniwa District, Okayama Prefecture, was showing the Kiyo Residence and the cherry blossoms along the Kaido; it is currently suspended due to malfunction, and the operator is the Shinjo Village Town Hall.
The name of the Kaisen (Triumphal) Sakura comes from the fact that cherry trees were planted on both sides of the street in Shinjoyado Station Town to commemorate the victory in the Russo-Japanese War in 1906 (Meiji 39). One hundred thirty-two Somei Yoshino cherry trees, planted every 5.5m, create a cherry blossom arcade spanning about 400m, adorning the station town, with the usual peak viewing time being mid-April.
