It features a stylish building with a German townscape motif, and is a popular spot for tourists and locals.
The facility features a tourist information center, a specialty goods shop, a snack corner where you can eat things like Joshu Jidori back-fat ramen noodles, a soft serve ice cream counter, the Baelz Memorial Museum, and the Japan-Germany Romantic Road Museum. The Baelz Memorial Museum introduces the achievements of Dr. Baelz, the German doctor who introduced Kusatsu Onsen to the world.
The specialty goods shop sells Gunma specialties such as “Himokawa Udon,” “Hanamame Roll Cake,” and “Shimonita Yaki Negi Senbei.” The museum shop also sells glass crafts such as Bohemian glass and imported goods.
