The original Kawazu cherry blossom tree — Around 1955, a local resident named Katsumi Iida found a seedling along the Kawazu River and planted it in his garden, and this is said to be the origin of the Kawazu cherry blossom. It has now grown into a large tree approximately 10 m in both height and spread, with a trunk circumference of about 115 cm. Because it often reaches full bloom slightly earlier than the festival area, it can be used as an indicator of how the blooming is progressing.

Around Sasahara Park (main festival venue) — This is the main venue area for the Kawazu Sakura Festival. Approximately 850 cherry trees line the Kawazu River alongside rapeseed flowers, and food stalls and stands are concentrated here. It is also useful for checking congestion.

Sightseeing and hot springs in the surrounding area — There are many hot spring facilities and foot baths within Kawazu-cho.
