Nii Benten Sea Fishing Park is a T-shaped breakwater fishing spot located right next to Imagiriguchi, where Lake Hamana and the Pacific Ocean meet. It is said to be “the most popular fishing spot on the front side of Lake Hamana,” and attracts many anglers of all levels, from beginners to veterans, throughout the year.
The types of fish you can catch vary depending on the season. In spring, black sea bream, rockfish, and flounder are the targets, while in summer, you can enjoy sabiki fishing for horse mackerel, mackerel, and sardines. Autumn is a good time for catching bluefish (young yellowtail and amberjack), octopus, and sea bass, and in winter, bottom fishing for flounder and conger eel is popular. Inside the T-shaped breakwater, there are concrete poles and discarded rocks, making it suitable for hole fishing for rockfish such as scorpionfish and rock cod.
The facility has an “Imakire Shop” where you can find bait, fishing gear, and rental rods, so you can enjoy fishing completely empty-handed. It is recommended to check the current sea conditions and crowd situation via Live Camera before coming.

To access Arai Benten Kaikokan (Imakiri Experience Village Kaikokan) and Arai Benten Sea Fishing Park, if you are using the Tomei Expressway, take the Hamana Bypass towards Toyohashi from Hamamatsu Nishi IC and exit at Arai Benten IC. The route from National Route 1 Hamana Bypass is the easiest to follow and will get you there without getting lost.
Parking is available for a fee (400 yen per day, free for the first 30 minutes), and a large paid parking lot is available 24 hours a day. There is usually ample space even during the summer swimming season and peak fishing season. Toilets, vending machines, and running water are also available, making it a safe and convenient option for families.

A similar tsunami monitoring camera is also installed in ” Shiomizaka ” within, Kosai City, creating a system that allows for real-time monitoring of sea conditions along the Enshu-nada coast.
The Enshu Sea is an area where tsunamis are expected to reach during the Tokai Earthquake and the Nankai Trough Earthquake. Camera footage can also be viewed on Kosai City Hall’s official website, and in the event of extreme weather or disaster, the camera direction may be changed or the broadcast may be stopped at the discretion of the administrator.
