This is a live camera installed at Mitake Gorge and Musashi Mitake Shrine in Mitake, Ome City, Tokyo. You can see Mitake Gorge, the large ginkgo tree, Okunoin (1077m above sea level), the area around JR Mitake Station, and Musashi Mitake Shrine. It is distributed by the Ome City Tourist Association.

The Mitake Valley live camera rotates from right to left, and when it stops rotating to the right, you can see the large ginkgo tree in front of the Gyokudo Museum in the center. The large ginkgo tree turns yellow in November and is usually lit up by the local Mitake Tourism Association.

Musashi Mitake Shrine is located on the summit of Mt. Mitake in Ome, Tokyo, and is an ancient shrine that is said to have been founded in the 7th year of Emperor Sujin (91 BC). It is known for the legend of Emperor Yamato Takeru and the belief in the Japanese wolf “Oinu-sama”, and is widely revered as a god who protects against theft, evil, and misfortune. As the most sacred mountain in the Kanto region, it is also the center of Shugendo and mountain worship.
