The Koya-Ryujin Skyline is a mountain road with a total length of about 42.7km that connects Koyasan and Ryujin Onsen. It is located at an altitude of 800 to 1,300m and was opened to the public free of charge in 2003. You can enjoy the nature of the four seasons, such as the fresh greenery of spring and the beautiful autumn leaves, the scenery of Gomadanzan and Ryujin Onsen. In winter, there are traffic restrictions due to snow accumulation.
The winter restrictions on the Koya-Ryujin Skyline are in place from mid-December to late March of the following year. During the restriction period, there is a risk of snow accumulation and ice, so please be careful when passing through.
