Fuji and the sunrise and sunset from the summit of Mt. Shichimen (1,982m above sea level). It is operated by the Minobu Shichimen Live Camera. Mt. Shichimen, which straddles Minobu-cho and Hayakawa-cho in Minamikoma-gun, Yamanashi Prefecture, is one of the 100 famous mountains of Yamanashi, with an altitude of 1,989m. It is known as a mountain of faith where Shichimen Daimyojin, the guardian deity of Mt. Minobu, the head temple of the Nichiren sect, is enshrined, and many believers make the pilgrimage. Near the summit is the lodging temple Keishin-in, and there are well-maintained front and back approaches, although the journey is tough.
In particular, the view of Mt. Fuji from Keishin-in Temple is magnificent, and it is also famous for being able to see “Diamond Fuji,” when the sun rises from the peak of Mt. Fuji, during the equinox.
