Daigo-Sakura is a variety of Azumahigan that is said to be 1,000 years old, with a tree height of 18m, trunk circumference of 7m, root circumference of 9.2m, and branching distance of 20m from north to south. The name Daigo-zakura originates from the fact that in 1,332, when Emperor Go-Daigo was exiled to Oki, he saw this cherry blossom and admired it.
