Koyama Pond is one of the largest natural ponds in Japan, with a circumference of 16 km and an area of 6.8 km2. There is Aoshima in the center of the pond, which is used as a playground for children and is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot with about 500 cherry trees of 30 different varieties planted there. There are also seasonal plants such as roses, irises, bellflowers, and sawflowers. Also, the beauty of the sunset seen from the side of the gazebo in the cherry blossom viewing plaza at Koyamaike Oasis Park (east side of Koyamaike) is a must-see.
