This is a live camera installed at Kenrokuen Garden, a special scenic spot designated as a cultural property in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Kenrokuen is a daimyo garden that was created over many years by successive lords of the Kaga domain. It is one of Japan’s top three gardens, along with Mito Kairakuen and Okayama Korakuen. The park is dotted with ponds, rockeries, teahouses, and more, allowing you to enjoy the scenery of each season. The total area is approximately 11.4 hectares, or 34,600 tsubo.

Approximately 400 cherry blossoms of about 40 different species bloom in Kenrokuen, including Higanzakura, Somei Yoshino, and Yamazakura. The best time to see them is usually from early to mid-April. It is also lit up for a limited time when the cherry blossoms bloom.
Kenrokuen also has about 340 maple trees, and you can enjoy the red and yellow colored leaves in autumn. The best time to see them is usually from early to late November. Night illuminations are also held during the autumn leaves season.
