This is a live camera installed at the Asama Mountaintop Observatory in Asama-cho, Ise City, Mie Prefecture. You can see the spectacular views of the Ise Plain and Ise Bay. It is operated by Mie Prefecture Tourism Development.
The Asama Mountaintop Observatory is located on the Ise-Shima Skyline, at the summit of Mt. Asama, the highest peak in Ise-Shima National Park, at an altitude of 555m. At the summit plaza where the observation deck is located, there is an old red round postbox, commonly known as the “Postbox in the Sky,” and an observation footbath from which you can see Ise Bay. You can enjoy the spectacular views of the Ise Plain and Ise Bay, and on clear days you can even see Mt. Fuji. At the summit, there is Kongoshoji Temple, a shop, and a restaurant, and there is also a souvenir shop on the first floor. It is open all year round and at night, and is a popular tourist spot where you can enjoy the scenery of the four seasons.
