Yumigahama is a bow-shaped sandy beach that stretches for about 1km in Minamiizu Town at the southern tip of the Izu Peninsula. Yumigahama Beach, the southernmost part of Minamiizu Town, has been selected as one of Japan’s 100 best beaches. There are capes on both sides of the bay to protect it from the waves, so the waves that hit the sandy beach are calm, making it a popular beach.
