Mt. Takao is a mountain with an altitude of 599m, and you can take a cable car or lift up to about 472m above sea level halfway up the mountain. There are three trails for climbing, and it takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the top. From the top of the mountain, you can see Mt. Fuji, Sagami Bay, Oku-Chichibu Mountain Range, Nikko Mountain Range, and 13 states.
The autumn leaves of Mt. Takao usually appear from mid-November to early December. There are many places to see autumn leaves from the cable car Kiyotaki Station at the foot of Mt. Takao to the top of the mountain. A maple festival is also held during the autumn leaves season.
