Yashagamitoge is a mountain pass located at the southern end of Houou Sanzan and the trailhead at an altitude of 1,770m, and is also known as a spectacular view point of Shirane Sanzan. The Houou Sanzan refers to Mt. Jizo (2764 m above sea level), Mt. Kannon (2840 m above sea level), and Mt. Yakushi (2780 m above sea level). In addition, Shiramine Sanzan is a general term for the three mountains of the Southern Alps: Kita-dake, A-no-dake, and Nocho-dake.
