Fuji depicted on the back of the old 1,000 yen bill, and the view from Nakanokura Pass is particularly beautiful. Mt. Fuji from the lake shows different expressions throughout the seasons, such as Diamond Fuji and upside-down Fuji, and attracts many photography enthusiasts. In 2013, it was included as a component of Mt. Fuji’s World Cultural Heritage.
