Shindo Pass is a mountain pass located about an hour’s walk west along the ridgeline from Mt. Kurodake in Yamanashi Prefecture. For hiking, walk north from Oishi Park in Oishi, Fujikawaguchiko Town for 1 to 1.5 hours to the Shindo Pass trailhead. It takes about 1.5 hours from the trailhead to the summit.
If you are coming by car, there are parking lots at Suzuran no Sato Sawazuma-tei'', Ashikawa Agricultural Products Direct Sales ShopOgossouya”, and the lily of the valley area. You can either park at one of the locations and walk there, or you can use the free shuttle bus to FUJIYAMA Twin Terrace (please confirm the schedule).
FUJIYAMA Twin Terrace is an observation deck that opened in July 2021 at Shindo Pass in Fuefuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture, offering a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji. There are two decks: the “First Terrace” that overlooks Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji, and the “Second Terrace” that overlooks Mt. Fuji.
