Mount Ishizuchi is a 1,982m mountain on the border between Saijo City and Kumakogen Town in Ehime Prefecture, and is the highest peak in western Japan. It is one of the 100 famous mountains in Japan and one of the Seven Sacred Mountains of Japan, and has been the subject of mountain worship since ancient times. You can enjoy the abundant nature and spectacular views, and it is also known as a mecca for mountain climbing and Shugendo.
