This is a live camera of Amanohashidate installed at Amanohashidate View Land in Monju, Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture, and Amanohashidate Kasamatsu Park in Ogaki, Miyazu City. You can see Amanohashidate, Miyazu Bay, and Aso Sea.
Amanohashidate, one of the Three Scenic Views of Japan, is a sandbar that stretches about 3.6 km in length into Miyazu Bay, Kyoto Prefecture. Sand carried by coastal currents has accumulated, creating a unique landscape of about 8,000 pine trees lined up.
If you want to enjoy this magnificent view, we recommend “Amanohashidate View Land.” If you look upside down with “Mata Nozoki,” you can enjoy the “Hiryukan,” which looks like a bridge spanning the sky. It can be accessed by lift or monorail from “Fuchu Station,” which is within walking distance of Amanohashidate Station.
There are many hotels and inns around JR Amanohashidate Station, making it a convenient base for sightseeing. Historic temples and shrines such as Chion-ji Temple and Motoise Konojinja Shrine are also scattered around.
The closest station is Amanohashidate Station on the Kyoto Tango Railway, and the express “Hashidate” runs directly from Osaka and Kyoto. There are many paid parking lots available for those coming by car, but it is wise to arrive early during the tourist season.
