Sewari-tei is a famous cherry blossom spot located in Yodogawa River Park in Yawata City, Kyoto Prefecture. The “cherry blossom tunnel” with 223 Somei-yoshino cherry trees in full bloom for about 1.4 km creates a spectacular view. The best time to see the cherry blossoms is from late March to early April, and the “Sewari-tei Sakura Festival” is held every year to coincide with the best viewing period. During the Sakura Festival, events such as the “Sakura Marche” and the “Sakura Deai Cruise” are held. You can also see the cherry blossoms lined up from the observation tower of the “Sakura Deai-kan”.
