Fukuroda Falls is a 120m high and 73m wide waterfall located upstream of the Kuji River tributary. It is one of Japan’s three great waterfalls, along with Kegon Falls and Nachi Falls, and has been selected as one of Japan’s scenic spots and one of Japan’s top 100 waterfalls.
Fukuroda Falls is also famous as a famous spot for viewing the maple trees and autumn leaves in the fall, and in the bitter cold of winter you can see the “icefall” where the entire waterfall freezes over.
