Nene no Michi is a 400m long cobblestone street between Kodaiji Temple and Maruyama Park. Kodaiji Kitamonzen-dori, which runs north-south on the west side of Kodaiji, is commonly known as Nene no Michi. Nene refers to Kitamandokoro (Kodaiin), the legal wife of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Kodaiji is a temple built by Nene to pray for Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s body.
