The area around Kintaikyo Bridge and Kikko Park is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, with thousands of cherry blossoms in bloom. It has been selected as one of the top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan. The best time to see cherry blossoms is usually from late March to early April. The live camera usually shows Kintaikyo Bridge, but it can also be moved to the right or left, allowing you to check the congestion status of the parking lot on the left.
Kintaikyo Bridge is a five-row wooden arch bridge spanning the Nishiki River in Iwakuni City. It was built in 1673 (first year of Enpo) by Hiroyoshi Yoshikawa, the lord of Iwakuni, but after being washed away and undergoing restoration work, it has been carefully preserved to this day.
